Today you are NINE months old! You are absolute joy! You make my heart so happy! You love to smile and giggle. Today I took you to your nine month check up and you weigh just over 17 lbs, which is in the 34th percentile. You are 27 inches tall, in the 37th percentile, and your head is 18 in. around, the 91st percentile! You are now sitting up all by yourself and you love to get up on all fours and rock back and forth. You are still nursing 4 times a day, but you will take milk in a sippy cup when Mommy has to be away. You love your breakfast, lunch and dinner time….oatmeal cereal is yummy! You love all fruits and so far all veggies (as long as it’s gerber and not Mommy’s homemade :) You also really enjoy puffs (banana is your favorite) and you are getting really good at getting them in your mouth with your hands! If we hold your hands you will stand up and try to balance. You are rolling all over the place and very rapidly! You also do this cute downward dog position. You can slide backwards on the hard floor. I know you’ll be crawling in no time at all! You have 6 teeth! You got your two bottom centers first and then your eye teeth. (see photo below) You are now in the process of cutting the second center top tooth. You never complain, even with all of those teeth coming in. You sleep 12 hours at night and take 2-3 naps a day, depending on what we have going. Your favorite person is your big sis…you just laugh hysterically at her. She loves to entertain you. She now calls you “Little Sunshine.” Today at your appointment there were a few concerns, including some communication things that we are going to work on. We have no doubt you will be just conversing away in no time. We have some homework to get busy on and your teacher momma loves her some homework!! :) The doctor was also concerned that your blocked tear duct hasn’t corrected itself so we are being referred to a pediatric ophthalmologist to have that looked at. I know it probably feels rotten to you to wake up with it matted shut so often. :( We also will continue to watch your hemangioma on your neck to determine if you will need to see a vascular dr in the future. Right now it does not hurt you, we just want to watch it for big changes. You are just so full of joy and it makes us so happy sweet girl! I continue to say that you are the easiest, most go-with-the-flow, pleasant baby and I just adore you! I Samuel 16:7 says People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. I know that the Lord is looking down on your precious heart and smiling, sweet girl! We will get these other things worked out in no time!
Love Always and Forever,
Your Hopelessly Devoted Momma
