Ha! Just kidding, the title should really be, REMEMBER SAN ANTONIO! Brandon and had the most wonderful, romantic, relaxing weekend away! We cannot thank my Dad and Julie enough for keeping Addie for us! It was our first time to leave her over night, and we left her for THREE nights! She had a WONDERFUL time at her Bubbie and Poppie’s house and so did we! It was so rejuvenating and refreshing to spend time together, alone, in such a fun, romantic city!
On Thursday, as I was packing everything up, Addie enjoyed following behind me and UNPACKING everything!

I was a little sad when we dropped her off, but my sweet husband told me to check the glove box as we drove away from their house. In the glove box were two cards. One from him and one from Addie. The one from Addie said, “Counting the days till I see you again.” Then she “wrote” a sweet note inside thanking me for loving her daddy so much that I would leave her for a few days to spend quality time with him. Ahhh! Melt my heart!
We hit the road (well after dropping off Sophie…more on that in a future post!) and drove about 2.5 hours to the quaint, romantic city of Salado, Texas, where we checked into the adorable bed and breakfast in the picture below. That night we had a yummy dinner at a local restaurant and then sat on the porch in rocking chairs and caught up! It was so much fun! The earlier rain that day made the air cool and crisp!

Friday morning we had a delicious breakfast and drove onward to San Antonio. We made a pit-stop at the San Marcos outlets though, and had to check out the 7’s for all Mankind Outlet. (Shout out to Tonya for telling me about this! :-) It was such a fun store! I didn’t buy any jeans, but I did get a cute top!
Then once we made our way into San Antonio, we hunted down “The Cove.” Brandon and I are Food Network junkies and one of our favorite shows is “Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.” Recently they featured a restaurant that is connected to a carwash and laundry mat that is small, family-owned, and serves all organic food. They have the most amazing creations! Brandon had their famous lamb burger, and I had the bella burger. This has a portabella mushroom for the meat! I had to take a picture! (Chani, we both like taking pictures of our food!!)

Then we arrived at our hotel, which was on the riverwalk. We parked our car Friday afternoon and never had to use it again all weekend. LOVE that! We walked everywhere! LOTS of fun! Margaritas, Mexican food, Roof-top Pool Time, Breakfast in Bed, Romantic Dinners, ECLIPSE at the IMAX, shopping for the PERFECT 12 month size Mexican Dress (BTW we found it!!), and even a river cruise! So much fun!

Meanwhile, back at Bubbie and Poppie’s house, Addie was having a fun vacation too! They spoiled her to pieces and she had a blast! Here are some of the pictures they sent us throughout the weekend. (I might have looked at the pictures on my phone 100 or so times each!)

Thank you Bubbie, Poppie, Uncle Ryan, and Uncle Thomas for making our weekend getaway possible! We had such an amazing time!! We love you guys!
