April has been so much fun in our house! Addie just changes so much and gets to be more and more fun with each passing day! Our “ONE YEAR OLD” is a busy little bee and loves to explore, play, and have fun. We have enjoyed the days of longer sunshine with trips to the park, and long walks in the wagon around our neighborhood. We took her to her one year appointment and she did great! She is still in the 50th percentile on pretty much everything, and weighed in at 21 pounds. She is getting some of her molars too! She has transitioned to whole milk and is using a sippy cup like a champ! She loves to babble and climb the stairs. Yikes! This is scary! Food is going better too! She eats everything we eat and is off of baby food! Woo hoo! I didn’t really think this would happen, but it did. Wow! I can’t believe how quickly she changes and grows. She just amazes us every day! Here are some photos of what we’ve been up to!
We love to relax together and cuddle on the couch after a long week of work/play!
Favorite food is spaghetti!!
I caught her standing on her train in her play yard….if you click on the picture, you can see that she has a funny face. This is because she was “doing business!”
Saturday we went to Rylee’s birthday party. Rylee is Addie’s bestie! We love you Rylee! The kiddos had so much fun playing together! Happy Birthday sweet girl!
We saw Jeremy, Renee, and Kaden this weekend! It was so much fun! Baby Xander is coming soon!
We wore this little pumpkin out!

On another note, I have two prayer requests. First, would you please pray for our friends Pete and Jolene? We just found out that Pete's younger sister was killed last night in a home invasion. Her husband was also shot, but from what we hear, will make it through. We are just so heartbroken for them and are asking for your prayers during this difficult time.
Also, our dear friends Hillary and Brad are scheduled to have their baby boy, Landry this Thursday. Please pray for a smooth and easy delivery! We can’t wait to meet their precious baby boy!!
Love to all!

We had a wonderful Easter! Addie wore the dress that my brother Brian and his girlfriend Becky gave her when I was pregnant! I just love it on her. I have to admit, we were in such a hurry to get out the door on Easter Sunday for church, that the pictures I got were no good at all. Then when we got home from church, it was soooo nap time and my little sweetie was in no mood for pictures. So, yesterday we got all dressed up in our Easter dress AGAIN, and had a “fake” Easter photo shoot! (What little girl doesn’t love to play dress up!??) I seriously have way too much fun with this little girl!
I couldn’t possibly resist the urge to post pictures of our TEN day old Easter baby last year at this time. Isn’t it just amazing how much changes in one year!?
I believe you can click on any of the photos for a closer look. I am trying out a new program for blogging!
Thank you Easter Bunny!!!!

We had the most perfect, wonderful, glorious celebration of Addie's first birthday this past weekend! The weather was just amazing, the company was so much fun, and the partyin' was a blast! I had a really hard time narrowing down the pictures to post, so this one's pretty long!
We were so excited to have Auntie M. and Mr. Micah come in town and stay with us Friday night before the party!! We took these pictures on Saturday morning while Micah and Brandon were planting spring flowers in our flower beds!
When everyone started to arrive, balloons and flags were tied on to bikes and trikes and strollers and wagons....and the birthday party parade was about to begin....
And we were off!
At last, the birthday party parade arrived at the park!
And the birthday girl got to do her favorite thing: SWING!
Then it was time for CAKE! Our sweet friend Jeanette made the most AMAZING, DELCIOUS, BEAUTIFUL cake for our celebration! We all sang. I cried. I can’t believe she is really a year old! When we set the cake in front of her, she wasn’t sure what to think. I broke it apart a little bit, and she still just stared at it. Turns out, she wasn’t really interested. :-( But that’s ok, the vanilla ice-cream was a different story!! She loved it!!!
Addie enjoyed seeing lots of friends and family members and “chatted” with each one of them….
When we got home from the park, there was a SUPER FUN surprise waiting for our birthday girl! Her friend Rylee was waiting at the house with her mom and dad! Brandon took them for a spin in the wagon. Addie kept bending over to look at the holes in the wagon.
Then the two girlfriends had a blast playing with Addie's new fridge phonics.
We all slept really great Saturday night! What a super time we had! We could NOT have pulled it off without the help of so many. We have VERY HAPPY memories of this day and will always treasure the celebration of our sweet girl’s first year! Sniff, sniff! Watch out YEAR NUMBER TWO, ‘cause here we come! :-)
