The picture above is a sneak peek at the photo on the birth announcements! They will not look anything like the scrapblog I created for our new header, but the photo will be used in them. Our friend Brittany took some fabulous pictures of our little angel! This is just one of them. I love it! She was wearing a cute little pink tutu. I will post more of the photo session soon!
We have hit a little road block. Addie has been a bit fussy in the evenings, especially at bed time. We are not sure what is going on. It's almost like she has found her voice and has realized how stressed Mommy and Daddy get when she cries. :-( She can sense that we are heart broken and want more than anything to comfort her, but how? We are listening to her cry right now as she lays in her bassinet in our room trying to go down for a nap before we feed her at 9:30. One of the things I read is that sometimes you just need to go hold them for a minute to remind them of how much you love them. So...I went in, held her for a few minutes, she calmed, and then I laid her back down. Now she is crying again. It's so sad! Any suggestions from experienced moms and dads out there? We would love any advice you have to offer. She doesn't do this all day when I put her down for her naps...it's just in the evenings. Poor baby. She breaks my heart!

Addie is doing great! I can't believe this Friday she will be 4 weeks old! Some of her exciting milestones are: She is napping very well in between feedings, and she is sleeping so well at night. Saturday night she slept for 7 hours straight and last night for almost 6. She is such an angel baby. She is adjusting well to the Prep for Parenting schedule we learned when were pregnant. It is a 2.5-3 hour feeding schedule during the day with wake times after each feeding, followed by naps (very similar to Baby Wise). Then at night she sleeps as long as she will on her own. She has already dropped one night time feeding and will hopefully soon be dropping another! Our prep for parenting teacher is most impressed with her progress! This baby girl is so happy and sweet natured. When she wakes at night to feed, she just whimpers and talks to me until I get up to feed her. I had no idea that you could love someone SO MUCH! She is truly amazing! We just love to look at her and admire God's amazing miracle. Here are a couple of recent pictures. :-)

Time for an update! We are loving our little baby girl so much! Addie is doing so well. She is growing and changing every day. I am amazed at her beautiful little face and love learning about her more and more every day. We had a great week last week with Grandma Cece and we are enjoying our time this week with Auntie M. She loves to grunt...it's really cute. She doesn't cry a lot, but she "talks" and grunts often. I am still in awe that we get to keep her. She is amazing. Our favorite time of day is when Daddy gets home. He gets so excited to see her each day. Here are a few pics of our little sweetie.... She stretches really big like this when we take her out of her swaddle. This is our precious little Kaden holding her for the first time. So sweet!

Brandon and I have decided to make our blog password protected. If you would like to have the password, please email me at my yahoo email address and I will send you the password. I am going to give it a few days before I do this. We really feel strongly about protecting our little angel this way! Thank you for understanding!

I thought it was time for an update! Addie is doing so well! We are so in love with her. We just sit and stare at her sweet little face any chance we can get. She is eating very well and sleeping a lot! She is so cuddly and loves to have skin to skin time with both of us. Brandon is really sweet with her. I LOVE watching him hold her. We just can't believe how blessed we are to have her. It's the most amazing feeling in the entire world. She has a precious little spirit and so far the only time she cries is when she is having trouble getting to her food. :-) She is so sweet natured. She make the sweetest little sounds and smells so good. I am doing well too! I am healing great and have gone on several long walks these last few days. We are all looking forward to going home! (Especially Brandon, because he says the couch bed here is less than desirable)... We have been so blessed to have family staying at our house with Sophie and taking good care of her. The nurses here have been incredible. I feel so blessed by the love and encouragement they have shown us over the last few days. Thank you to all of our family and friends for YOUR PRAYERS and well wishes! Everything went so smoothly and I know it's because of your prayers. We can't wait for everyone to meet our precious baby. I will try to blog again soon, but the next few days might be a little crazy! :-) Love to you all.

Tomorrow is the day! Wow! In 10.5 hours we will get to see our baby girl's face. I can't believe this night is finally here. I looked forward to going out to a big last meal since I can't eat or drink anything after 11:30 until mid morning...then we went out to eat and my nervous stomach wouldn't cooperate! I felt queasy! I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. I keep thinking, have I forgotten anything? Do we have everything done? Do I need more clothes? Does Addie need anything else? Brandon is packing his bag right now. We are getting ready to go to bed since we have to get up at 4 am...Not sure we'll be able to sleep, but we are going to try! I would like to ask for you all to pray for us!! Pray for a smooth, easy, complication-free delivery and that Addison will be healthy. I will post pictures on here as soon as I can tomorrow. Love to you all!!!!
