My mom and Skip gave me this maternity coat for Christmas and it keeps Addie and me so warm! I just love it! I had a little problem....my other coat would no longer button and it's been so cold in Texas this year! They let me open it early so I have gotten to enjoy it all of December. Thanks Mom and Skip!

Brandon has completed our test area and I LOVE it!! I had to take a picture to show how our experiment turned out. So, one thing to point out is that the stripes are different sizes. That is because we were trying to figure out how wide we wanted the stripes. The stripe on the left is 8 inches and the stripe on the right is 10 inches. This will go 36 in. high...to chair rail height. Brandon is going to start the actual painting today! You can also see our new rocker in this picture. It is a really soft chocolate chenille and the ottoman rocks too. Her room is starting to come together and I am so excited! I love to sit in the chair and daydream about her sweet little face!
Brandon and I had a wonderful Christmas! We slept late, (we hear those days are soon coming to an end :-) ) made breakfast, and exchanged gifts! My hubby did such a great job shopping for me! He gave me several maternity tops, even a sweater dress with maternity leggings. He also picked out some super cute black boots and my favorite gift he gave me? A boppy maternity body pillow! This is the greatest invention ever! I am so snuggly at night! Then, we spent our day cooking and getting our house ready for our family to come over for dinner. We had a wonderful time that evening sharing food, fellowship, and gifts with Brandon's mom, sister, aunt, uncle, cousins, and grandpa. It was a wonderful Christmas! We feel so blessed this year as we look forward to all that is to come in 2009.

My friend Hillary gave me this adorable shirt for Christmas that says "Blessed Belly." I love it! I truly feel so blessed to be pregnant. I am so in love with Addison! I love feeling her move all around. My favorite moment last week was when the middle school orchestra came and played Christmas carols. As soon as the quiet gym came alive with the sound of "Sleigh Ride," my sweet Addie started moving all around! It was amazing! Maybe she will be musical. I sat and daydreamed about her throughout the whole performance.
The highlight of TODAY is that I received my first baby shower invitation in the mail!!! It came from Addie's Auntie M (Carol) in Houston. I must say that it is the most precious invitation I have ever seen! It's Pink, Green, Black and White. The wording on the invitation says:
For napping and playtime
And bathing and feeding
There are so many new things
The HARMON'S will need!
Let's get together and shower the parents to be
Let's get together and shower the parents to be
Soon Addison Berkley will complete this family of three!
A Casual Affair Honoring Brandon and Michelle Harmon
How CUTE is that??!!! I squealed for about 30 minutes with excitement upon it's arrival in the mailbox! Carol, Micah, Natalie, Jason, Corey, Parker, Chris and Kristie are hosting this party for us and Addie in Houston! We are so excited! I can't BELIEVE it's really our baby shower! So much to look forward to!!
Here are new baby bump pictures! In two days we will be 6 months pregnant! :-) So much fun!

Today we had our Dr.'s appointment for the month. We are 23 weeks and 5 days pregnant and everything is looking great. Praise God! The doctor measured my belly and listened to Addie's heartbeat and all is well! Today I had a million questions and he patiently listened and answered them all. We talked about when she comes, what to expect, and all kinds of other fun things. One of the things he mentioned is that there is a chance she could come about 10 days early based on some different factors. That would be on April 1st, which is my birthday! Wow! What a wonderful birthday present that would be! We feel so blessed to have Dr. Riegal and his staff taking care of us through this journey. They are all so loving, kind, and patient.

On Friday night, Brandon and I had the opportunity to have dinner with my brother, Brian. Many of you have prayed for him. He is doing very well. He is working on a welding project with Dart in the area right now so he is staying in Dallas for a few weeks. It was really good to see him and catch up on life. It has been over a year since I have seen him. He was shocked to see my baby bump! We had a nice time.

Brandon is so excited to be a daddy! Our friend Carol bought Addie B this sweet, fun, whimsical book that she memorized in 9th grade for a class and Brandon reads it to Addie every night before we go to bed. We learned somewhere that if you read the same book to her over and over again while she is in the womb, she will recognize the patterns and voice after she is born and it will bring her comfort. We lay there at night and laugh our heads off as he reads to my belly. My favorite part is when he changes around the first page. He says, "Big A, little A, what begins with A? Addison Berkley, that's what begins with A!" I can't wait to see him in action as a dad.

Ok, Miss Alyson! I did it! I created a blog! We'll see how this goes! I am going to try to update it with what is going on in our lives and share pictures as we go through this journey called life, but I am a little shy so be patient with me!
